Starting new things is always hard, and I realize the source of all of our anxieties and excitements. Uncertainty is the predecessor for both feelings of anticipation and it's a fine line to cross between the two of them. So this is my first venture into the blogosphere. I always told myself I'd never start a blog, but the more I read others and the more I thought about it, the more appropriate this situation of mine seemed for a blog. What a better way to put my own ideas and experiences out there and share them with my friends and loved ones, than to post it in a place where the world could see it. So with all that said, it's not the blog that excites/anxious-izes me - it's that which will come only 2 days from now!
Moving to Spain in two days. And I have yet to start packing my bags. Perhaps it's an indication of how little of my head I have wrapped around the idea what's waiting for me at the other end of that plane ride. I can't even begin to imagine what my life will be like in the little town of Alora, cradled in the Guadalhorce Valley, only minutes from the Costa del Sol. Sounds like paradise, doesn't it? Too bad humans need more than scenery to feel like they're in paradise.
So my journey unfolds in less than 48 hours. I'll keep you in my thoughts, my fellow readers, whereever you are. Perhaps at the end of some Google search in some village in China. But nonetheless thank you for reading my thoughts.
